San Sebastian is deep in the mountains three hours from Puerto Vallarta.  We traveled over mostly dirt road, very narrow in places that was undergoing a major road building project.  Kay closed her eyes a lot.  The distant mountains ahead held the gem of San Sebastian as you can see the agricultural areas on the ridge slopes-- they grow corn, maguey (plant from which tequilla is made), coffee--- this is quite high around 3,000 to 5,000 feet.  The air is cool and dry and clean.  Sounds of birds, only birds for miles and miles.  The forest is jungle like, but not damp, at least right now.  The canopy, a ropes course high in the trees is along the way.
